A recent survey amongst weight loss experts and strength training practitioners suggested that the most successful fat loss program involves a serious lifestyle change. Changes to the diet were top of the list, and a huge reduction in fast food consumption was suggested as the most important factor to be changed. Also, an effective fat loss program would need to involve a work-out program or exercise program that increased the heart rate substantially to provide the results required. Calorie intake was also highlighted as a major problem, and any effective fat loss program would need to ensure that the amount of calories in the diet was significantly reduced. An effective fat loss program and subsequent eating plan would focus on foods that are considered to be negative calorie foods. Foods that have a higher thermogenic value need to be prioritized on the eating plan, as these are foods that consume more calories during the digestion process than what is actually contained within the food.
